Our Story

This is a story of young individuals courageously pursuing their dreams in a foreign land. In the last semester of their sophomore year, Zhuofeng Weng and his friends Hsuan Chang and Desson Chen took the first steps toward establishing their brand. While they were unsure of the challenges that awaited them, their unwavering commitment to moving forward remained constant. Zhuofeng was introduced to cigars at an early age through his parents, and this passion only deepened when he met Hsuan and Wenbin upon arriving in the United States. Together, they explored the world of cigars, seeking to understand its complexities.

Soon, the aspiration to create their own brand began to blossom. However, they quickly faced the harsh reality: the cigar industry presents formidable barriers to entry, making their dream seem daunting without the necessary resources or connections. After much contemplation, they decided to start with cigar accessories. Inspired by their love for traditional Chinese culture, they envisioned a fusion of traditional porcelain and cigar accessories, crafting unique products that would stand out in the cigar community.

As they embarked on their accessories venture, they diligently sought factory resources while continually enhancing their knowledge to work toward their dream of launching a cigar brand. By chance, they met Raul Reyner from Mi Havana Factory in his Los Angeles Cigar Lounge, a mentor eager to guide and support young entrepreneurs. After sharing Zhuofeng’s vision with him, they set off for Nicaragua with renewed determination.

"It's all about texture." This became the guiding principle of the ChiMolly brand. They believe that, like cigars, all things transcend mere shape, color, and price; what truly matters is the sensory, emotional, and experiential value they bring. Embracing this philosophy, Zhuofeng and his team dedicated themselves to the careful selection of tobacco leaves, stringent quality control in the rolling process, and the art of blending.

Through their persistent efforts, ChiMolly’s first cigar officially launched in September 2024. While the journey ahead may be filled with challenges, it will never dampen the spirit of those who dream.

何为「青墨琼琳」

不是意象的组合,而是一个完整的东方世界观。

是以中国哲学为内核、以器物精神为形式、以人格美学为骨架、以生命尊严为根基的精神结构体。

亦非品牌名,而是一套关于“人如何存在”、“如何思考时间与命运”、“如何在历史中立身”的中式回答

“青墨琼琳”所蕴含的,是中华文明对“道”的实践方式。

“青”之为气,是天地初始的生成之象;

“墨”之为迹,是人类文明的留痕之法;

“琼”之为德,是人格之理想化结晶;

“琳”之为音,是心灵之节奏与秩序。

四字一体,便是天道、心道、人道。

青墨琼琳代表一种内向型的精神构建方式不喧哗、不表演,而是“藏器于身、静观其变”;不抢占舞台,而是在天地之间自守其节;不是展示,而是修为、涵养、留白、敬意

这正是中国文化独有的美学伦理:“润物无声、自持有度”。

中国古人将天、地、人之理内嵌于瓷、墨、玉等器物之中。青花瓷承天道之气,阴阳流转,白留其虚,青显其意;墨为文之魂,是思想流动的沉淀物;玉则为人之德象,温润内敛,有光不耀。

「青墨琼琳」正是这些器物文化的哲学合成体
西方文明强调征服、占有、改变世界。

中华文明强调敬畏、顺势、与天地和鸣。

“青墨琼琳”所代表的,不是“个性表达”,而是“存在的分寸”。

它是一种对慢、深、敬、诚的推崇:

慢,是对时间的尊重;

敬,是对天地的谦逊;
